Meagan’s Paw Squad is growing faster than I ever dreamed!

What started as a little labour of love, boarding a dog here and there, has grown into an incredible pet-care business filled with amazing clients and even more amazing pets.

I’ve always believed that when someone trusts you with their pet, you’re trusted with so much more than their animal. You’re trusted with their home, their routine, their comfort and their family member.

And now… there are more pets needing care than I can take on myself!

So I’m looking for a very special person to join the Paw Squad.

This is NOT your typical pet-sitting job. I’m looking for someone who will walk into a client’s home and care for their pet as if it were their own. Someone responsible, reliable, observant and compassionate. Someone who notices the little things and understands that every pet has different needs.

Duties

  • Provide daily care for dogs in their owners’ homes, including feeding, walking, and playtime activities
  • Monitor dogs’ behavior and health, reporting any concerns or unusual signs to pet owners promptly
  • Administer medications or special dietary needs as instructed by pet owners
  • Maintain a clean and safe environment for the dogs during each visit
  • Follow specific instructions from pet owners regarding routines, commands, and preferences
  • Offer companionship through engaging activities that promote mental and physical well-being
  • Communicate regularly with pet owners to update them on their pet’s status and any noteworthy events

Requirements

  • Genuine love for animals and experience caring for dogs preferred but not required
  • Strong customer service skills to ensure positive interactions with pet owners
  • Reliable transportation to travel between client homes efficiently
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions accurately and responsibly
  • Excellent communication skills to keep pet owners informed and reassured
  • Energetic, motivated, and attentive to the needs of different dog breeds and temperaments
  • Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays if needed
