Full job description

We are seeking a HARP-certified Dental Assistant with a Level II Dental Assisting Certificate to join our busy oral surgery specialty practice in Ancaster.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with oral surgery procedures
  • Prepare workstations and take periapical and panoramic x-rays
  • Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment
  • Welcome and prepare patients, manage charts, and provide pre- and post-operative instructions

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in dental assisting, preferably within oral surgery, is highly desirable
  • Proficiency with dental software is preferred
  • Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and surgical procedures
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail
  • Certification or training in dental assisting is required (Level II)
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
  • Must be a team player

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday (no weekends or evenings)
  • Shifts between 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (7-8 hour daily shifts based on patient schedule)

Qualifications:

  • Experience: 1 year preferred
  • Certification: Dental Assisting Level II (required)
