Full job description
We are seeking a HARP-certified Dental Assistant with a Level II Dental Assisting Certificate to join our busy oral surgery specialty practice in Ancaster.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist with oral surgery procedures
- Prepare workstations and take periapical and panoramic x-rays
- Clean and sterilize instruments and maintain equipment
- Welcome and prepare patients, manage charts, and provide pre- and post-operative instructions
Requirements:
- Previous experience in dental assisting, preferably within oral surgery, is highly desirable
- Proficiency with dental software is preferred
- Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to dentistry and surgical procedures
- Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients of all ages
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Certification or training in dental assisting is required (Level II)
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively
- Must be a team player
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday (no weekends or evenings)
- Shifts between 7:00 am – 5:00 pm (7-8 hour daily shifts based on patient schedule)
Compensation & Benefits:
- Pay: Competitive

Qualifications:
- Experience: 1 year preferred
- Certification: Dental Assisting Level II (required)
