About Us
ASAP Traffic Inc. is a growing company headquartered in Fort Saskatchewan, AB. We are committed to being the best in our industry across all areas we operate. Our goal is to build a team that can grow both professionally and personally as we continue expanding into an Alberta-wide industry leader. This role offers strong growth opportunities as we scale.
Job description
ASAP Traffic Inc. is seeking a Traffic Control Coordinator to join our Calgary team.
We are looking for someone who knows Calgary, understands traffic control operations, and can step confidently into a leadership role. This is a key position within our organization with strong growth potential.
This role is working out of our Calgary office 6429 79 Ave SE, supporting projects throughout the city and surrounding areas. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, highly organized, and able to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
While this position requires a high level of autonomy, you will remain closely connected with our head office in Fort Saskatchewan and collaborate regularly with our coordination team to ensure consistent, efficient operations across all locations.
Duties:
- Scheduling TCP’s & Lane Technicians for projects
- Acting as a main point of contact for clients (phone & email)
- Coordinating equipment (trucks, arrow boards, signage, etc.)
- Identifying traffic control requirements and preparing quotes
- Coordinating Traffic Accommodation Plans (TAPs)
- Completing permit applications
- Conducting site visits to ensure safety and quality standards
- Supervising and supporting field staff
- Responding to urgent or emergency traffic control situations
Requirements:
- Experience as a Traffic Control Coordinator, Lane/Traffic Technician, or strong working knowledge of the traffic control industry through hands-on field experience, coordination with traffic control companies, or involvement in municipal/approval processes.
- Strong knowledge of Calgary roadways and traffic control standards
- Proven leadership or management experience (required)
- Minimum 4+ years traffic control experience
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Adaptable and able to manage last-minute or emergency requests
What we’re looking for:
Someone who can step in immediately, take ownership of operations, and lead crews with confidence. This is not an entry-level role — we need a strong, reliable leader.
