Position: Emergency Medical Responder (EMR)

Location: North West Territories.

Rotations: 3 weeks in / 3 weeks out

Pay rate: $350 per day


Advanced Medical Solutions has an opportunity for an Emergency Medical Responder to join our Community Health Services team.

What You Bring:

  • EMR Emergency Medical Responder
  • CMA accredited program or EMP Canada EMR Program
  • HCP CPR Provider or BLS
  • WHMIS
  • Class 4 Driver’s License - (Must have)
  • Drivers Abstract – in good standing
  • Current Vulnerable Sector Check (within 90 days)
  • Current Medical & Immunization Records
  • Emergency Vehicle Operator certification or equivalent preferred

Your Responsibilities:

  • Working as part of a team (with a PCP) to provide the highest and most effective patient care possible
  • Assess the extent of injuries or illness of patients to determine emergency medical treatment required
  • Responsible for the safe ambulance operations and transport of patients from remote areas to the Inuvik Regional Hospital
  • Document and record nature of injuries and treatment provided
  • Cleaning and maintenance of medical equipment, ambulance, base, and resupply of consumable equipment
