Refrigeration InstallerOverview

We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Installer to join our growing mechanical team. This role involves the installation, commissioning, and service support of commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems across a variety of construction and retrofit projects.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience, strong construction site awareness, and the ability to work from drawings and specifications. Responsibilities

  • Install commercial refrigeration and HVAC systems in accordance with project drawings, specifications, and industry standards
  • Assist with start-up, testing, and commissioning of refrigeration systems and related mechanical equipment
  • Read and interpret blueprints, mechanical drawings, and equipment submittals
  • Perform piping installation including refrigeration piping, and related mechanical connections
  • Coordinate with foremen, project managers, and other trades on active construction sites
  • Troubleshoot and assist in diagnosing system issues during installation and start-up phases
  • Perform pressure testing, evacuation, and charging of refrigeration systems
  • Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in compliance with safety standards
  • Complete daily work documentation and report progress to site supervision

Qualifications

  • Experience as a refrigeration mechanic, HVAC installer, or related mechanical trade
  • Strong understanding of refrigeration systems, piping practices, and mechanical installations
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications
  • Experience in commercial construction environments considered a strong asset
  • Knowledge of brazing, and mechanical piping practices
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team
  • Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship
  • Valid driver’s licence required
  • Refrigeration or HVAC trade certification is preferred but not mandatory depending on experience
