DELIVERY DRIVER – FULL-TIME

Dong Phuong Distributor – Edmonton, AB

Dong Phuong Distributor is a leading importer, distributor, and wholesaler of Asian food products. For over 30 years, we have proudly supplied grocery stores, restaurants, and businesses throughout Edmonton.We are currently seeking a dependable, safety-focused, and hardworking Delivery Driver to join our team.

Schedule

  • Full-time position
  • Monday to Saturday
  • Early morning starts may be required
  • Overtime may be required during peak periods

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver products safely, accurately, and on time to customers
  • Load and unload products using proper lifting and safe handling techniques
  • Verify orders and ensure delivery accuracy
  • Obtain customer signatures and proof of delivery
  • Complete daily electronic driver logs and route documentation
  • Perform and submit pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections
  • Record mileage, fuel purchases, and vehicle maintenance concerns
  • Report accidents, vehicle damage, traffic violations, or delivery issues immediately
  • Handle customer returns and bring returned products back to the warehouse
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of assigned vehicle
  • Follow all company policies, transportation regulations, and safety procedures
  • Assist with warehouse duties and other tasks as assigned

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience operating a 5-ton truck
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's Licence with Air Brake (Q) Endorsement
  • Clean driver's abstract
  • Strong knowledge of safe driving practices and Alberta traffic regulations
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and dependable
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move 50–100 lbs regularly
  • Ability to load, unload, push, pull, and carry products throughout the workday
  • Comfortable working in various weather conditions

Technology Requirements

  • Must own a smartphone with an active data plan
  • Must be able to use mobile applications for:
  • Daily electronic driver logs
  • Vehicle inspections
  • Delivery documentation
  • GPS navigation
  • Communication with dispatch and management
  • Reliable phone service is required during working hours

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience delivering food products
  • Knowledge of Edmonton and surrounding areas
  • Ability to communicate in:
  • Cantonese
  • Tagalog
  • Vietnamese
