Senior Surface Land Analyst

About the Company and the Job

Summit Land and Environmental Inc. has been in business for 20 years. We had an office in St. Albert but we went fully remote with all our employees a few years ago. This provides flexibility for the right person to work from home anywhere in Alberta.

We are looking for an experienced Surface Land Analyst. Please do not apply if you do not have experience in Surface Land.

We are a full service land broker that provides our clients the opportunity to use one company for all their surface land needs. We provide conventional oil and gas land acquisitions but remain focused on oil sand exploration and development. Our company is currently seeking a talented, Senior Surface Land Analyst with strong organization and customer service skills to join our fast paced and busy team. This is not a regular office administration position. Surface Land Analyst is a specialized field so please read the responsibilities and qualifications before submitting an application.

Responsibilities include:

  • Review and assess survey plans in order to determine what kind of agreements are required
  • Request all third party agreements and consents for active projects.
  • Prepare Surface Leases, Right-of-Way Agreement, Crown Disposition Applications and all the appropriate supporting documentation for transmittal to clients
  • Prepare notifications, and letters required for acquisition of surface rights
  • Prepare and review final packages for correctness and accuracy
  • General office duties
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Qualifications:
  • Minimum 2-3 years experience as a Land Administrator is required
  • Experience with Oil Sands related projects is an asset
  • Diploma or Certificate in Petroleum Land Administration from a post-secondary institution is an asset
  • Working knowledge of EDS, OneStop, SPIN II, and ETS programs is required
  • Strong working knowledge of Word, Outlook, and Excel is required
  • Knowledge in D-56 Regulatory guidelines and other governing Acts pertaining to the Oil and Gas Sector
  • Previous experience with Pandell Projects database would be considered an asset
  • Commissioner of Oaths an asset
  • Strong and accurate typing skills
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision
  • Previous experience working in a fast paced, high volume work environment with multiple deadlines
