Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Ramp Ground Handling Trainer to join our operations team at Toronto Pearson International Airport. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering ramp operations training, mentoring employees, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and maintaining operational excellence across all ground handling activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver classroom and practical training programs for ramp agents and lead agents.
  • Train employees on aircraft servicing, baggage handling, loading/unloading procedures, marshalling, pushback operations, and safety procedures.
  • Conduct recurrent and refresher training sessions as required.
  • Evaluate trainee performance and provide coaching and feedback.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, airline requirements, airport regulations, and health and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain training records and reports.
  • Support operational audits and quality assurance initiatives.
  • Assist management with procedural updates and implementation of new operational standards.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and operational efficiency within the workforce.

Qualifications & Experience

Mandatory Requirements

  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of ramp handling experience at a major airport.
  • Experience working as both a Crew Agent and Lead Agent in airport ground handling operations.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft loading and unloading procedures, baggage operations, GSE operations, marshalling, and ramp safety.
  • Previous experience conducting on-the-job training, mentoring, or coaching employees is preferred.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced airport environment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Train-the-Trainer certification.
  • Experience with airline-specific training programs.
  • Knowledge of Transport Canada and airport safety regulations.
  • Valid driver's license with the ability to obtain airport operating permits.
  • Ability to obtain a Valid RAIC (Airport ID).
