Job Overview
The primary responsibility of this position is to provide daily coordination of sales functions within their designated territory. These items include assisting in the coordination of dealer training, assisting customer service items that may arise including warranty decisions, and maintain daily contact with home office and dealers when applicable. This person will also work to penetrate the market through new customer setup, as well as ensuring customer payments meet the terms of Unverferth Mfg.​

This person must be able to effectively communicate not only with their customers but also other departments at Unverferth including Inside Sales, Marketing, Accounting, Shipping and Transportation, and other Territory Managers.​

Duties

  • Develop a comprehensive goal-oriented plan for the promotion of all Unverferth products in assigned territory.​
  •  Travel five days per week throughout assigned territory supporting and building upon existing customer base, as well as maximize and develop market penetration through new customers.​
  •  Promote and implement all company programs partnering with the dealer base to inventory and merchandise various Unverferth product lines.​
  •  Responsible for performing and reporting accurate inventory counts at the dealer level.​
  •  Full authority for all Account Receivable and payment plans at the dealer level as per Unverferth programs.​
  • Responsible for working with dealer management and sales personnel managing inventory turns keeping fresh product in the territory.​
  •  Work as the dealer’s first contact in conjunction with our Product Support Team following through on all service after the sale including warranty.​
  •  Attend and support dealer open houses and all trade shows in the territory and others as planned.​
  •  Conduct training sessions increasing overall product, program and sales ability of dealers by working closely with all levels at the dealerships.​
  •  Deliver prompt assistance through sound advice and value to meet the needs of customers and future prospects.​
  •  Respond to all dealer and home office communications within the same day or sooner.​

Skills

  • Prefer an individual with Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Agribusiness or other related field of study and 5-10 years of applicable work experience​
  • Candidates with an Associate’s degree and 7-10 years of applicable work experience in a related position can substitute their work experience and on-the-job training in lieu of the advanced education requirements.​
  • Preferred candidate will live central to the territory between the triangle of Cincinnati, OH,  Dayton, OH and Richmond, IN
  • Must possess self-motivation, self-direction and broad based scope of business.  ​
  • Must possess solid organizational skills, accuracy and strong attention to detail.​
  • Must possess​a good logic, forward thinking and be thought provoking.  ​
  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Office products.​
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, and telephone communications skills.​
  • Must have excellent interpersonal skills in dealing with co-workers and external vendors. ​
  • Must have a pleasant, upbeat, positive personality and be able to effectively encourage, promote and lead by example in a team-oriented work environment. ​
  • Must have positive driving history.​
