What to Expect:

We are seeking an Innovation and Renovation, Project Manager to join our Commercialization team on a 12-month contract. This role is responsible for the efficient, effective, and flawless planning and execution of medium- to high-complexity Innovation & Renovation projects across the consumer value chain and may also include business process improvement initiatives. As an Innovation and Renovation Project Manager, you will be applying project management tools and skills to ensure the on time launch and flawless execution of projects from ideation to project closure. This position is an existing vacancy.


A day in the life:

Project Leadership & Delivery
  • Lead the communication of project scope, objectives, key success criteria, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop and manage project schedules, identify critical milestones, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of deliverables, approvals, and key project activities.
  • Proactively identify risks, remove roadblocks, and implement mitigation plans to keep projects on track.
  • Facilitate project governance and collaboration through kick-off meetings, project reviews, risk assessments, lessons learned sessions, and post-launch evaluations.
  • Provide clear and transparent project updates to cross-functional teams, Program Managers, and Category Leadership.
  • Prepare and present project recommendations for gate advancement, scope changes, and project deactivations to senior leadership.


Cross-Functional Leadership & Stakeholder Management

  • Lead cross-functional team in identifying and mitigating risks and opportunities. Identify solutions to remove roadblocks and drive corrective action to meet project goals and business commitment
  • Drive accountability and transparency across the consumer value chain - Flagging /escalating conflicts or misalignment to I&R Program Managers, Functional Leader and/or Category Leadership Team (with transparency, discretion and as appropriate)
  • Engage, leverage and challenge cross-functional team to optimize every step across the consumer value chain
  • Support the Category I&R Program Manager in bringing transparency to I&R Portfolio status, gaps and optimization options thru sharing of Program insights, reports and dashboards
  • Coach and Support Commercialization Project Specialists as required
  • Act as a delegate for I&R Program Manager for key I&R Meetings


Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement

  • Champion the consistent application and continuous improvement of Nestlé's Innovation & Renovation (I&R) processes, tools, and project management standards.
  • Manage projects through established stage-gate and governance processes, ensuring compliance and execution discipline.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities that eliminate waste, increase efficiency, and create value.
  • Maintain accurate project data, documentation, and reporting within project management systems while meeting established KPIs.
  • Ensure effective use of project templates, tools, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.


Role Requirements

  • 6+ years of cross-functional business experience, preferably within a complex matrix organization
  • 5+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Experience within Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) and Health Science industry is considered an asset
  • Experience working within a stage-gate is preferred or similar project management framework
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Commerce, or a related field
  • Computer literacy and expertise in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project)
  • Strong organizational, time management, and prioritization skills, and attention to detail

Compensation Range:
$90,000.00 CAD - $120,000.00 CAD
