The Position:

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and delivery of software development projects. This role works closely with engineering, product, and business teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with technical and business objectives. The TPM combines strong project management discipline with a solid understanding of software development practices and lifecycle management.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

· Lead end-to-end delivery of software development projects across the full lifecycle (planning, development, testing, release)

· Partner with Product Management to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables

· Work closely with Engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical execution plans

· Develop and maintain project roadmaps, sprint plans, and release schedules

· Facilitate Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, demos)

· Track progress against milestones and proactively manage risks, blockers, and dependencies

· Ensure alignment across cross-functional teams including Engineering, QA, DevOps, and stakeholders

· Monitor and report on project status, including timelines, budget (if applicable), and key metrics

· Drive issue resolution, tasks, deliverables and decision-making to keep projects on track

· Support continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and team efficiency

Education and Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)

· 7-10 years of combined experience of software development and project management

· Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

· Project Management certification (PMP, Scrum Master, or equivalent) is an asset

Experience:

The role requires experience with the following:

· Previous development experience with C++, C#, Java Python, PHP in creating commercial software products.

· Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments

· Familiarity with modern development tools and practices (CI/CD, version control, cloud environments)

· 7-10 years of combined experience of software development and project management

· Project management tools (Jira, Azure DevOps, Asana, or similar)

· Version control systems (Git)

· Collaboration tools (Confluence, Slack, Teams)

· CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools

· Strong technical acumen with the ability to engage effectively with engineering teams

· Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

· Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously

· Strong organizational, planning, and time management skills

· Risk management and problem-solving expertise

· Data-driven decision-making and analytical thinking

Other Must Haves Include:

· Previous experience in a corporate network environment with a valid passport, driver license and ability to travel to the US and in Canada.

· Proficiency with standard Microsoft Office tools; Word, Excel, Outlook etc.

Non-technical Competencies:

Ideally you will have excellent team player, interpersonal and written communication skills, be a self-starter, well organized, detail oriented and able to work with minimal supervision and to tight deadlines. Key to success in this role will be the ability to behands on, think analytically and problem solve effectively.

Salary range:

$100,000.00 to $120,000.00 depending on experience
