Job Summary
The Electrical Supervisor is responsible for leading, organizing, and supervising lead hands and shop floor employees while ensuring production follows schedule, quality, and safety standards. This role requires effective communication between shifts, daily progress reporting, and proactive problem-solving to prevent delays. Additionally, the Electrical Supervisor works closely with the Drawing Release team to ensure accuracy in electrical schematics and assists with maintaining an organized and safe shop environment.

Afternoon shift is 4pm- 2:30am Monday- Thursday.

Responsibilities

1. Monitor and report missing materials to managers at least one day in advance.

2. Lead, organize, and supervise lead hands to ensure smooth operations.

3. Provide instructions for the next shift and submit a detailed shift report to the next supervisor.

4. Ensure the shop floor follows the production schedule and report any schedule slippage to the manager, including reasons for delays.

5. Verify that the latest electrical schematics and drawings are being used and ensure shop floor employees adhere to the latest updates in coordination with the Drawing Release team.

6. Ensure production follows AVL QA and AVL customer quality standards.

7. Assist in maintaining a clean and organized shop floor by identifying areas needing improvement.

8. Oversee shop floor attendance and manage daily attendance reports.

9. Report daily progress updates to managers.

10. Interview and recommend personnel actions, including hiring, termination, and promotions, while identifying employee talents.

11. Provide technical expertise on the floor and assist with troubleshooting electrical production issues.

12. Seek clarification from supervisors or production engineers when uncertain instead of making assumptions.

13. Promote and maintain a safe work environment in compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations.
