Full job description

We are looking for an organized Medical Office Assistant to work directly with our brightest and most creative individuals. This is a unique opportunity for an ambitious individual who is interested in working in a company with a lot of responsibility. The MOA will interact regularly with the team and be responsible for ensuring that the office area is well maintained and that the staff are able to focus on their work without distraction. The right candidate will have excellent organizational skills, be detail oriented, and be able to handle multiple tasks at once.

This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities:

  • Input information for and prepare documentation for AP and AR processing.
  • Help prepare and issue documents related to accounts including invoices and other financial statements on Sage 50.
  • Monitor and ensure AR is controlled.
  • Help prepare and issue documents for third party health insurance claims.
  • Update patient information and chart patient interactions in EMR.
  • Handle mail and other correspondence.
  • Answer and direct office calls.
  • Answer questions and provide information to customers.
  • Greet clients and assist clinicians to maintain customer service.
  • Gather appropriate documentation and submit for health insurance claims.
  • Equipment reprocessing.

Requirements:

  • Experience in office admin/bookkeeping role and asset.
  • Experience in a medical administration role using electronic medical records software an asset.
  • Detail oriented with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Maintain a positive attitude and provide exemplary customer service.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have strong background in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with constant change and firm deadlines.

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
