Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking an efficient and organized medical office assistant for our specialist medical office. This position requires excellent verbal and written English communications skills as well as conversational Cantonese and/or Mandarin. Experience with EMR and standard office computer software is essential. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize, problem solve, and multi-task to ensure efficient workflow. Salary is negotiable depending on experience.

Duties

  • Answer phone calls promptly and professionally, addressing patient inquiries and scheduling clinical appointments
  • Provide reminder calls to patients as needed
  • Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMR)
  • Perform administrative tasks such as processing digital fax documents, and maintaining physician's clinical, research and academic calendars

Experience

  • Bachelor's degree and knowledge of medical terminology required
  • Proficiency in using phone systems and electronic medical records software.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are essential for managing multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and healthcare providers.
  • Proficiency in Cantonese and/or Mandarin required
