Construction Administrative Assistant

Autoform Contracting London Ltd.
London, Ontario

About Us

Autoform Contracting is a leading municipal concrete contractor serving Southwestern Ontario for over 30 years. We specialize in concrete curb, sidewalk, multi-use paths, and municipal infrastructure projects. We are looking for a motivated and organized individual to join our office team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a career in the construction industry.

No previous construction experience is required—we are willing to train the right candidate.

Responsibilities

As a Construction Administrative Assistant, you will support our operations team with a variety of office and project-related tasks, including:

  • Assisting with quantity takeoffs and project measurements
  • Preparing and organizing measurement spreadsheets
  • Requesting utility locates through Ontario One Call
  • Organizing and reviewing daily crew timesheets
  • Assisting with payroll administration
  • Maintaining project files and documentation
  • Updating spreadsheets and tracking project quantities
  • Assisting with safety documentation and employee training records
  • Answering phone calls and responding to emails
  • Communicating with contractors, municipalities, and utility companies
  • General office administration and clerical duties
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Organized and dependable
  • Detail-oriented
  • Eager to learn
  • Comfortable using computers and Microsoft Office (especially Excel)
  • Able to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
  • A strong communicator with a positive attitude
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

The following are considered assets but are not required:

  • Experience in an office or administrative role
  • Experience in the construction industry
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to read construction drawings
  • Experience working with measurements or quantities
