If this sounds like you, White Bear Industries Ltd is currently seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in Terrace, BC.

The Administrative Assistant is responsible for general office duties and the accurate and timely processing of Accounts Payable and Receivable. They are competent in answering phones, greeting customers, ordering supplies, data entry, maintaining vendor accounts and files, PO matching, payment processing, preparing invoices, account collections, and handling tight deadlines. Multi-tasking and customer service are at the heart of their day-to-day work, ensuring. Within their role, confidentiality is always at the top of their mind. The Administrative Assistant is professional and discrete, respecting the privacy of both the customers and the company.

Your contributions to the team include:

  • General Office Duties - Ongoing
  • Accounts Payable – 50%
  • Accounts Receivable – 15%
  • National Safety Code File Management – 10%
  • Safety - 15%
  • Other Duties as assigned – 10%

What you need to be successful:

  • Post-secondary education in accounting or equivalent
  • Minimum two years’ experience in an accounting role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidential information
  • Demonstrated knowledge of clerical accounting and bookkeeping procedures
  • Ability to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally always
  • Strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Construction knowledge and/or office experience would be an asset
  • Experience working in easy pay and connected software is an asset
