SUMMARY OF POSITION

We are seeking an intermediate-level specialist to join our Enterprise Solutions & Design team. This role is ideal for a technically proficient professional with strong CAD and networking fundamentals who thrives in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment. You will work closely with Project Managers, Technical Sales, installation teams, and Clients to design, configure, and support enterprise-grade security and IT infrastructure solutions.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Divide time between supporting internal company IT infrastructure/projects and delivering client-facing enterprise security solutions and design projects
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimize internal network equipment, endpoints (PCs, printers, mobile devices), Microsoft 365 environments, and corporate systems while providing an equivalent level of support for customer environments.
  • Create detailed wiring diagrams for network and security projects in AutoCAD and Bluebeam Revu
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for all configurations, designs, network diagrams, as-built drawings, test results, and procedures for both internal and client deployments
  • Configure and deploy customer networks and security systems according to project requirements, while simultaneously supporting in-house network uptime, efficiency, and new hardware/software rollouts
  • Provide pre-sales and post-sales technical support, including solution design, bill of materials, scope review, and product recommendations for client opportunities, alongside internal system upgrades and troubleshooting
  • Deliver remote and on-site troubleshooting, system commissioning, testing, client training, and detailed handover documentation, while remaining available to support internal staff as required.
  • Collaborate daily with Project Managers, Sales, and installation teams on client project milestones while coordinating with internal departments on company-wide initiatives and priorities
  • Travel to customer sites for installations, high-level service calls, or meetings as required, and be available for occasional emergency internal support needs
  • Regularly update and contribute to the company’s knowledge base, standard operating procedures, and design templates to benefit both internal efficiency and client deliverables
  • Continuously monitor workloads, provide detailed status reporting and feedback to the Enterprise Solutions & Design Manager on internal projects, client engagements, potential issues, and industry trends

Note: Additional duties and responsibilities may be assigned as mutually agreed upon between the employee and the company.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS

  • Intermediate IT background with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD (required) and Bluebeam Revu (preferred)
  • Solid understanding of networking principles (routing, switching, VLANs, firewalls, VPNs, Wi-Fi)
  • CCNA (or current equivalent) certification strongly preferred; CompTIA Network+/Security+ also valued
  • Hands-on experience with general IT troubleshooting and endpoint configuration
  • Previous help desk, systems administration, and/or field support experience is an asset
  • Proficiency in Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, Intune, Azure AD)
  • Familiarity with enterprise security systems (access control, CCTV/IP video, intrusion) is advantageous but not required—we will train the right candidate
  • Excellent time management, communication, and documentation skills
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Valid driver’s license and clean background check (required for customer sites and security-related work)
  • Willingness to travel locally and occasionally overnight

EDUCATION

An associate or bachelor’s degree in information technology, networking, computer science, or related field is an asset but may be substituted with equivalent hands-on experience and certifications
