About the Role

As District Manager, you will be responsible for leading a portfolio of stores, driving sales performance, developing exceptional talent, and ensuring a consistent luxury customer experience across your district.

You will partner closely with Store Managers to create engaging customer experiences, achieve sales targets, and foster a culture built on long term customer relationships and product knowledge.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop Store Managers and leadership teams to achieve sales, profitability, and customer experience objectives.
  • Foster a retail environment where selling and customer service excellence are top priorities through training, coaching, role-modeling, and direct customer engagement.
  • Build high-performing teams by identifying, developing, and retaining top talent across the district.
  • Create a culture of accountability, recognition, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure stores consistently deliver exceptional customer experiences that exceed expectations and strengthen client loyalty.
  • Act as a DANIER brand ambassador, promoting our fashion brand, values, and customer-first culture in stores and within local communities.
  • Communicate company vision, strategies, and priorities to store leadership teams and drive execution at store level.
  • Analyze sales, payroll, inventory, and operational performance metrics to identify opportunities and maximize business results.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to support business initiatives and achieve organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.

Successful candidates will have:

  • 5–7 years of progressive multi-unit retail management experience, preferably within luxury retail, premium fashion apparel, or specialty retail environments.
  • Demonstrated success leading multiple locations and delivering strong sales and profitability results.
  • Proven ability to recruit, develop, and retain high-performing management teams.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively and execute multiple initiatives in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong understanding of diverse Canadian retail markets and geographical regions.
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, team-building, performance management, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong customer-centric mindset with a passion for delivering elevated service experiences.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to influence and engage individuals at all levels.
  • Growth mindset with openness to feedback and continuous learning.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and presentation communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical capabilities.

Travel Requirements

  • Valid driver's license and reliable access to a vehicle.
  • Ability and willingness to travel nationally, including overnight stays as required.
  • Approximately 75% of time spent in stores and 25% in office/administrative functions.
  • Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and peak retail periods.
