Fantastic opportunity for an experienced Lead Accountant to join an innovative and growing organization in the technology and manufacturing sector! Fully REMOTE position with a dynamic company. Great opportunity for someone with strong manufacturing accounting, cost accounting, and financial reporting experience. 16-month maternity leave coverage. Competitive salary of $80,000 to $90,000.

The Lead Accountant will be responsible for reviewing and analyzing financial records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and internal controls, and supporting the preparation of monthly financial statements and audits.
This individual will work extensively with the general ledger, complete month-end procedures, investigate and reconcile accounting discrepancies, and contribute to the overall accuracy and integrity of the company's financial information.
Given the company's manufacturing operations, the role will also require a strong understanding of cost accounting, including standard costing, variance analysis, and inventory costing.
The Lead Accountant will also provide guidance and training to accounting and finance team members, collaborate with stakeholders across the business, and identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and efficiencies.

Experience with manufacturing cost accounting is particularly important, including standard costing, inventory valuation, and variance analysis. Candidates should have a solid understanding of how manufacturing operations impact financial reporting and business performance.
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is sought, along with strong proficiency in accounting software and Excel.
The ideal candidate will also bring demonstrated experience leading accounting activities, providing guidance to junior team members, and collaborating effectively with stakeholders across an organization.
