Overview: The purpose of this position is to provide financial administrative support to YXE Vision Group and related companies. The goal is to have a person, internal to the organization, who understands the unique nature of our business and who can provide responsive financial information to help us drive growth in a responsible and sustainable manner.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience with Quickbooks Online or similar accounting software programs
  • Proficient with Microsoft suite of applications, in particular Excel
  • A minimum of five years’ experience in the field of bookkeeping or accounting
  • Experience with support software (Dext, etc)

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Routine Bookkeeping Services

o Reconciliation of bank and credit card accounts using our accounting software

o Monthly Accounts Payable

o Monthly Accounts Receivable

  • Tax Filing

o Filing of GST, PST and Payroll Tax for all companies

  • Payroll Services

o Management and maintenance of company payroll system, including employee TD1, T4s, and ROE

o Management and maintenance of employee benefit programs, including RRSP, DPSP, and

Health/Disability Insurance Plan

o Perform bi-weekly payroll for YXE Vision Services and related companies

  • Financial Reporting

o Production of monthly financial statements for YXE Vision Group and related companies within 30

days of the end of the month

o Quarterly budget preparation and analysis

o Monitoring of cash flow and financial resources

  • Communication and Correspondence

o Work closely with Business Manager and ownership group

o Attend financial meetings as required (possibly after normal business hours)

o Communicate with banking representatives

o Communicate and coordinate with accounting firm representatives

Logistics and Expectations: This position could accommodate a combination of in-person and remote work. The

expectation would be a minimum of two days per week of in-office attendance. An office, desktop computer,

laptop computer, and additional office and computer equipment will be provided as required.

Compensation: This will be a salaried position with compensation to be determined.

Vacation: This position is entitled to 3 weeks of vacation per year.

Benefits: This position is entitled to all benefits available to YXE Vision Services employees.
