Account Manager

Vistar Transportation Ltd. is seeking a motivated and results-driven Account Manager to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys building relationships, developing new business opportunities, and providing exceptional customer service within the transportation and logistics industry.

CA$70,000 – CA$150,000 per year
(Base Salary + Uncapped Commission)

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting and networking.
  • Research companies, industries, and potential customers to generate qualified leads.
  • Identify key decision-makers, including Logistics Managers, Supply Chain Managers, Shipping Managers, and Procurement professionals.
  • Prepare freight quotations and transportation solutions for customers.
  • Coordinate with dispatch and operations teams to ensure excellent service execution.
  • Follow up on leads, opportunities, and customer inquiries in a timely manner.
  • Negotiate rates and transportation solutions while maintaining profitability.
  • Manage customer accounts and provide ongoing support to strengthen long-term partnerships.
  • Achieve and exceed monthly sales and revenue targets.

Qualifications

  • Outstanding phone presence and the ability to build rapport with prospective clients.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and driven to generate new business.
  • Strong relationship-building and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to achieving and exceeding performance goals.

Assets

  • Previous sales experience in the transportation, logistics, or freight industry.
  • Existing customer portfolio or industry contacts.
  • Ability to speak multiple languages, including French and/or Spanish.
  • Experience using CRM systems and transportation management software.
