Job Summary
We are seeking a Bus Driver & Camp Warden to oversee transportation and safety at our camp in Creston. This role involves safely transporting staff to the orchard in the evening, and returning them to the camp in the morning. During the night, you will be responsible for the camp while the pickers are in the orchard. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, a strong sense of responsibility. Bilingual abilities in Spanish and English are highly valued to facilitate effective communication with diverse groups. This position offers an engaging opportunity to contribute to a positive camp experience while ensuring safety and well-being.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate the bus for daily transportation of staff, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • Assist with staff check-in and check-out procedures, maintaining accurate records.
  • Maintain the cleanliness and mechanical condition of the bus through routine inspections and basic troubleshooting knowledge.
  • Enforce camp rules and safety protocols during transportation
  • Support emergency procedures as needed, demonstrating calmness and quick decision-making skills.
  • This is a contract position

Skills

  • Valid Class 2 Licence with clean driver's abstract
  • Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with staff
  • Mechanical knowledge for basic maintenance checks on the bus.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
