UNCERTIFIED FRENCH TEACHER (Non-OCT)

We are accepting applications from French applicants who are not members of the Ontario College of Teachers to be considered for Uncertified French as a Second Language Teachers. These teachers are hired for temporary assignments.

Requirements

  • Proficient in French.
  • Eligible to work in Canada.
  • Be a minimum of 18 years old.
  • Hold an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD), or equivalent.
  • Be a practicing Roman Catholic or baptized in a Roman Catholic Parish.
  • Completion of an Immersion/Extended French program in high school, or a post-secondary degree in French, is considered an asset.
  • Pastoral Reference Letter from a Roman Catholic Parish, or completion of the indicating you are a practicing Roman Catholic (dated within the past 12 months) or Baptismal Certificate.
  • Resume and Cover Letter addressed to the Sr. Manager of Recruitment, Human Resources.

Recruitment Process

The recruitment process includes the following stages:

  • Online application.
  • Oral French language proficiency screening.
  • Written assessment for French language proficiency.
  • Panel Interview conducted in both English and French.
  • Reference checks.
  • Conditional offer stage.
  • Criminal record check.
  • Orientation and onboarding stage.
