Smart Aviation Maintenance Solutions Inc. is a Transport Canada Approved Maintenance Organization that provides technical services to support all aspects of aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul. Smart AMS Inc. provides aircraft MRO services and parts support across Canada and internationally. The Smart AMS Inc. team takes pride in working together to provide one-stop maintenance solutions that help our customers achieve their operational goals.

Position: Aircraft Maintenance Engineer , Apprentice Mechanic

Term: Full time

Roles & Responsiblities:

  • Assist in Installing and repairing mechanical components;
  • Assist licensed mechanics in routine and non-routine maintenance tasks
  • Learn to diagnose and repair aircraft systems and components
  • Gain knowledge of safety and compliance regulations
  • Follow instructions and procedures from mentors
  • Keep clean and organized work areas
  • Learn to document maintenance and repair work
  • Assist in functional tests and adjustments on aircraft systems;
  • Assist in Inspections and maintain mechanical systems (e.g. hydraulics, pneumatics, fuel, air conditioning, doors, landing gear, flight control, etc.);
  • Assist in Preparing aircraft for flight (refueling, daily inspection);
  • Participate in engine and APU (auxiliary power unit) tests;
  • Carry out modifications according to service bulletins while respecting industry standards;
  • Participate in the Safety Management System (SMS)
  • Perform all other related tasks.

Qualifications:

  • You have a college or High School diploma
  • You are flexible with respect to work shifts.
  • Mechanical aptitude and eagerness to learn.
  • Basic understanding of tools and their proper use
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Able to work well in team.
  • Ability to follow detailed instructions and procedures.
  • Prior mechanical experience preferred but not necessary.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00-$31.00 per hour
