Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and experienced 5-ton Truck Driver to join our team. This role involves safely transporting goods to various locations while maintaining excellent customer service and adhering to all safety regulations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, experience with heavy lifting, and familiarity with warehouse operations. This position offers an opportunity to be part of a dynamic team committed to timely deliveries and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

  • Safely operate commercial trucks to deliver goods to designated locations, adhering to all traffic laws and safety protocols
  • Load and unload cargo using forklifts or manual handling, ensuring proper securing of loads for transit
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle, reporting any maintenance issues promptly
  • Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff, and customers to coordinate deliveries and resolve issues
  • Assist with warehouse activities such as moving inventory and organizing shipments
  • Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in compliance with company policies
  • Provide exceptional customer service by representing the company professionally during deliveries

Experience

  • Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably within a warehouse or logistics environment
  • Familiarity with forklift operation is a plus
  • Strong moving and heavy lifting skills for handling cargo safely
  • Excellent communication skills for coordinating with team members and customers
  • Prior experience in warehouse operations or logistics is desirable
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record and relevant endorsements for commercial vehicles

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $22.86-$25.00 per hour
