WHERE YOU'LL BE WORKING
Ross Video is a world leader in high-definition video production equipment, designed and manufactured in Canada and sold world-wide. Our products are used by a who's who of the global entertainment industry, including top broadcast networks like NBC, ABC, CBS and Fox in the USA; Rogers, CTV and the CBC in Canada; Al Jazeera, BBC, and others around the world. We are #1 in providing behind-the-scenes production gear used in sports stadiums across the MLB, NBA, NHL and NFL. Our equipment has been used extensively at the recent Olympic games. Our systems are used by top musical acts including Springsteen, Metallica, Lady Gaga, and Taylor Swift to name a few. Top webcasters like Revision 3, Everyday Astronaut, and MLB.com use Ross. WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Reporting to the Senior Software Manager, the successful candidate will be working with Cloud and Embedded solutions to implement Industry leading products in the fields of video and audio.
This position is primarily remote (work from home) however our operations are based at our Ottawa Campus in Nepean. Our pay rates range from $24 - $35 per hour, based on experience.
WHAT YOU KNOW

Must-haves
  • Currently enrolled in engineering or computer science
  • Knowledge of C and C++
  • Knowledge of Linux OS
  • Knowledge of Git
  • Excellent organization, time-management, and communication skills.
Bonus points if you have
  • Knowledge of Golang and Javascript
  • Knowledge of Docker / Kubernetes
  • Experience with AWS cloud instances
WHO YOU ARE
  • You enjoy new technical challenges and are excited at the prospect of writing code for actual, shipping products.
  • You are a self-starter. You're happy to take the reins and take initiative. When you finish something, you're already looking for the next challenge.
