Retail Merchandiser – Ottawa–Gatineau & Surrounding Area

A&A Merchandising Ltd.
Part-Time / Casual | Flexible Schedule | On the Road
Pay: $19.00–$20.00 per hour + eligible mileage reimbursement
Start: Immediately

A&A Merchandising Ltd. is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Retail Merchandiser to service retail locations throughout Ottawa, Gatineau and the surrounding area, including Barrhaven and Gloucester.

Founded in 1994, A&A Merchandising is a Canadian-owned and operated retail merchandising company. Our national field team completes thousands of retail store visits every month on behalf of leading brands and retailers across Canada.

This is a part-time, flexible, on-the-road position. The successful candidate must have their own reliable vehicle and be comfortable travelling between assigned retail locations throughout the Ottawa–Gatineau region.

What You'll Do

  • Visit assigned retail locations throughout Ottawa, Barrhaven, Gloucester, Gatineau and surrounding communities
  • Complete merchandising visits for leading national and international brands
  • Set up, maintain and update retail displays
  • Install promotional materials and POP signage
  • Merchandise products according to client instructions and planograms
  • Conduct in-store audits and compliance checks
  • Complete product and promotional demonstrations when required
  • Take clear before-and-after photographs of completed work
  • Submit accurate visit reports through A&A's field reporting platform
  • Identify and report damaged, missing or incorrectly installed displays
  • Communicate professionally with store management and A&A's field management team

Requirements

  • Valid driver's licence – required
  • Reliable personal vehicle – required
  • Must be willing and able to travel throughout Ottawa, Barrhaven, Gloucester, Gatineau and surrounding areas
  • Previous retail merchandising experience preferred
  • Comfortable working independently and managing a flexible schedule
  • Reliable, organized and detail-oriented
  • Comfortable using a smartphone for reporting, photographs and communication
  • Able to follow detailed written instructions and planograms
  • Professional when interacting with store employees and management
  • Comfortable performing hands-on merchandising and light display work
  • French language skills are an asset, particularly for assignments in Gatineau

Compensation & Travel

  • $19.00–$20.00 per hour
  • Mileage reimbursement of $0.45/km for approved travel outside a 45 km radius
  • Flexible part-time scheduling
  • Hours vary depending on active client programs and store requirements
