Job description:

Sure Crop Feeds, Inc., is a local livestock feed manufacturer located in Grindrod, BC that has proudly served the agricultural industry since 1957.

We are currently recruiting for a Shift Production/Warehouseman position. We are looking for candidates that are interested in working in a production environment where you will have the opportunity to contribute and grow as part of the team.

This full time shift work position reports directly to the Operations Supervisor. Duties include (but are not restricted to) bagging, stacking and filling customer's orders. Repetitive lifting of 20 kg bags is a basic requirement of the warehouse position. Monitoring bin inventories, maintaining rolled grain production as well as mixing and/or pelleting of feed will be added throughout the training process.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Grade 12 (or equivalent)
  • 4th or 5th class power engineering ticket
  • Class 1 drivers license would be an asset but is not required
  • Highly motivated self-starter
  • Good interpersonal skills and communication
  • Understand the importance of teamwork
  • Open-minded and positive in dealing with change and new ways of doing things
  • Ability to work in a demanding fast paced production environment
  • Flexible and adaptable
  • Take responsibility for the quality and timeliness of work
