Full job description

For over 25 years, Mercatto is all about great food, genuine hospitality, and bringing people together across five locations. Taverna Mercatto is located on Bremner Blvd near Scotiabank Arena and Rogers Centre, in the heart of the Sports and Entertainment District and is one of our busiest locations.


We're looking for a full-time Line Cook to join our kitchen team. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, take pride in your craft, and enjoy working alongside a supportive team, we'd love to hear from you.


WHO YOU ARE

  • Comfortable following recipes and kitchen procedures to ensure consistency and quality
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to stay focused during busy dinner services
  • A team player who communicates clearly and works well under pressure
  • Someone who takes pride in cleanliness, preparation, and maintaining a well-run station
  • Reliable, punctual, and eager to continue developing their culinary skills


WHAT YOU'LL DO

  • Prepare and cook menu items to Mercatto standards
  • Execute dinner service with consistency, urgency, and attention to detail
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked workstation
  • Support inventory rotation, prep production, and closing duties
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen and front-of-house teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences
