Position Overview

10tation Event Catering is the sister company of Freebird Market. While both companies operate under the same roof, 10tation Event Catering is a separate entity specializing in corporate catering, private events, galas, weddings, and large-scale food service throughout the GTA.

We are seeking experienced, dependable, and hardworking Production Cooks to join our growing team.

This is a high-volume production role based entirely out of our large-scale production kitchen in Etobicoke. We are looking for team members who thrive in a fast-paced environment, enjoy structured production work, and can consistently produce high-quality food at scale.

This position is ideal for someone with strong production experience who is comfortable preparing large quantities of food while maintaining exceptional standards of quality, consistency, organization, and food safety.

Please note: This is a full-time position requiring open availability, including evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook large-batch food items according to recipes and production schedules
  • Produce proteins, sauces, soups, sides, salads, sandwiches, and other catering menu items
  • Follow recipes and specifications accurately and consistently
  • Portion, package, label, and store products according to company standards
  • Assist with production planning and daily kitchen preparation
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe work environment
  • Support kitchen operations across departments as required
  • Participate in daily and weekly cleaning and sanitation procedures
  • Work collaboratively with chefs and production team members to meet production targets
  • Maintain high standards of quality, consistency, and efficiency throughout each shift

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a production kitchen, commissary kitchen, catering company, hotel, restaurant, or similar environment
  • Strong understanding of batch cooking and large-volume food production
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and work independently
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume production environment
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
  • Food Handler Certification is considered an asset
  • Reliable, punctual, professional, and team-oriented

Availability Requirements

  • Full-time availability required
  • Open availability is required
  • Must be available to work evenings and weekends
  • Flexibility to work varying schedules based on business needs
