Full job description

Job Position: Construction Coordinator

Location: North Bay, Ontario

Employment Type: Full-Time

Wagg’s Petroleum Equipment Ltd. is a leading petroleum contractor in Northern Ontario specializing in fuel system installations, petroleum infrastructure, environmental services, and industrial construction projects.

We are seeking an organized and proactive Construction Coordinator to support the planning, execution, and completion of petroleum construction projects. The successful candidate will coordinate field operations, scheduling, procurement, documentation, and communication between project managers, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget. Please note that this is an office and field-based role and out-of-town travel is required.

Key Responsibilities:

· Coordinate multiple petroleum construction projects from start to finish.

· Prepare and maintain project schedules, work plans, and progress reports.

· Schedule crews, subcontractors, equipment, and material deliveries.

· Track project costs, change orders, and purchase orders.

· Ensure project documentation is complete and up to date, including permits, inspections, safety records, and closeout documents.

· Communicate project updates to clients, field staff, and management.

· Coordinate utility locates, environmental requirements, and regulatory approvals.

· Monitor project timelines and identify potential delays or conflicts.

· Support quality control and ensure compliance with company standards and applicable regulations.

· Participate in project meetings and maintain accurate meeting minutes.

· Promote and support a strong safety culture.

Qualifications:

· The ideal candidate will be an Engineer or Engineering Technician with 5+ years of construction coordination experience.

· Experience in petroleum construction, fuel systems, civil construction, or industrial construction is preferred.

· Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

· Experience with project management software is considered an asset.

· Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.

· Strong problem-solving and time management abilities.

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities.

· Valid driver's license with the ability to travel to project sites as required.

Salary Target Range: 70,000 to 100,000 annually
