Position Type: Temporary (Immediate Start) with Full-Time, Permanent potential
Compensation: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour (Depending on experience)
Shift: Night shift operations (6:00 PM – 8:00 AM, weather dependent). Occasional daytime weekend shifts required.

Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable, hardworking, and detail-oriented Laborer / Operator & Line Painter to join our parking lot maintenance division immediately. This unique role combines heavy-duty equipment operation, property maintenance, and precision line painting.

This is initially a temporary position. However, for an exceptional worker who proves their value, dedication, and reliability, a full-time, permanent position may become available within our maintenance, landscaping, or snow removal divisions.

Key Responsibilities

Sweeping & Operator Duties:

  • Operate specialized commercial equipment including a parking lot sweeper, skid-steer, dump truck, and truck-and-trailer setups.
  • Utilize hand tools and small machinery such as backpack blowers, shovels, and scrapers to clear commercial properties.
  • Work long hours outdoors in dusty, demanding environmental conditions.

Surface Preparation & Line Painting:

  • Clean, sweep, and scrape asphalt surfaces to clear dirt, debris, or old paint prior to line application.
  • Set up site safety measures, including traffic cones, caution tape, and signage to manage traffic flow and secure active work zones.
  • Measure and layout parking stalls, directional arrows, and handicap symbols accurately using chalk lines, measuring tapes, and blueprints/plans.
  • Operate, clean, maintain, and perform basic repairs on striping sprayers, stencils, and related tools.

Job Requirements

  • Driving Record: Must hold a valid Driver’s License for a minimum of 5 years with a clean driver's abstract.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift between 50–75 lbs for extended periods outdoors.
  • Experience: Previous background in equipment operation, construction, commercial painting, or asphalt maintenance is highly preferred.
  • Skills: Strong measuring accuracy and the ability to comfortably read and interpret site plans/blueprints.
  • Flexibility: Must be able to work flexible night shifts (6:00 PM to 8:00 AM) dictated by weather conditions, alongside occasional weekend day shifts.

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour
