Part-Time Chief Operating Officer-$40K plus depending on experience

Our client, a boutique Litigation Law Firm is looking to add a dynamic part-time COO to their team.

Chief Operating Officer

Core Responsibilities- Oversee the below departments

  • Operations and Systems: Build efficient daily workflows, manage software and vendor relationships, and oversee compliance with provincial regulations like Law Society of Ontario (LSO) record-keeping rules.
  • Human Resources: Handle hiring, onboarding, payroll administration, and performance reviews for non-legal staff such as legal assistants and law clerks (working in conjunction with our Office Manager)
  • Financial Management: Oversee firm budgeting, cash flow tracking, billing processes, and basic profitability analysis at the client or matter level.
  • Technology Integration: Implement practice management software, document automation, and secure digital tools to streamline files.
  • overseeing lawyers’ billable hours (revenue), billings, collections, ARs, introduction of new technologies (AI), marketing initiatives lawyer and staff annual bonuses, supervising HR issues
