Job Overview

We are seeking a friendly and detail-oriented Cashier to join our retail team. The ideal candidate will provide excellent customer service, handle transactions accurately, and contribute to a positive shopping experience. This role requires strong communication skills, organizational abilities, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Bilingual skills and experience with retail sales or POS systems are highly valued. The Cashier will play a key role in maintaining store operations, promoting sales through upselling, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and assist with their purchases using POS systems
  • Process transactions accurately, including cash handling, credit card payments, and returns
  • Provide product demos and upsell items to enhance customer experience and increase sales
  • Maintain organized checkout areas and ensure merchandise is properly displayed
  • Assist customers with inquiries, product information, and store navigation
  • Manage time effectively during busy periods to minimize wait times
  • Uphold excellent phone etiquette when handling inquiries or reservations
  • Support merchandising efforts by restocking shelves and organizing displays as needed
  • Ensure compliance with company policies regarding cash handling and security procedures

Requirements

  • Previous experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service preferred
  • Strong communication skills in English; bilingual abilities such as Spanish or other languages are a plus
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and balancing registers
  • Familiarity with POS systems and basic technology sales concepts is advantageous
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask efficiently in a dynamic environment
