Location: Timmins/ Sudbury (Northern Ontario)

Work Arrangement: Hybrid (2-3 days)

Position Type: 6 months contract (potential of extension/ conversion)

Compensation: $40/hr - $45/hr

Our client is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join their team. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will play a key role in recruiting the best talent for the Canadian divisions by employing proactive sourcing strategies and resources, developing new, creative recruiting ideas as well as being part of a dynamic and supportive recruitment team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the recruitment process from start to finish, supporting departments in their hiring needs for hourly positions and ensuring the hiring process standards are followed for all candidates;
  • Follow the recruitment screening process to identify the best potential candidates;
  • Recruit, source and present qualified candidates to the hiring managers;
  • Liaise with candidates and hiring managers during all stages of the recruitment process;
  • Lead interviews by using the targeted selection method interviewing system;
  • Ensure a smooth transition from the selection process to pre-employment verifications to the onboarding stage of new employees;
  • Ensure proper follow-ups with stakeholders throughout the recruitment process;
  • Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining professional networks, etc.;
  • Represent the company and participate in career fairs as required.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources or Industrial Relations, or equivalent;
  • 3 + years of experience in a full-cycle recruitment role; must have experience hiring for mining or construction roles;
  • Proficiency in using Applicant Tracking Systems, LinkedIn and various other candidate databases;
  • Experience with targeted selection interview methods;
  • Sound knowledge of market trends and best practices;
  • Integrity and confidentiality;

The indicated pay range is a good‑faith estimate based on required qualifications, experience, training, and other factors permitted by law. It reflects the pay band established by the client company. Actual offers may vary depending on skills, experience, geographic location, and expected work quality. Most candidates start in the lower half of the range. Pay history is not considered where prohibited by law. This information serves as a general guideline for compensation discussions.
