Welding robot – Yaskawa- Fronius – programmer and service technician

Well established Guelph based food processing machinery manufacturing company is looking to hire full time permanent Welding robot – Yaskawa - Fronius– programmer and service technician

Position Summary:

Scottpec is seeking a motivated individual to work as a Welding robot – Yaskawa - Fronius– programmer and service technician on a Yaskawa Fronius - TIG welding robot. We are looking for a service technician with hands on experience on programing and servicing the robot. The welding robot service technician will service and program the robot and weld the parts according the drawings. The a Welding robot – Yaskawa - Fronius– programmer and service technician role is all-encompassing requiring the successful candidate to be a responsible team first individual.

Reports to:

The Welding robot – Yaskawa- Fronius – programmer and service technician reports directly to the Production Coordinator

Responsibilities:

  • Verify all machine conditions prior to processing the materials
  • Complete routine maintenance of their machinery where required
  • Perform repairs on the welding head
  • Program and set up robot for production
  • Maintain a clean and organized working environment
  • Read and understand blueprint drawings
  • Operate various tools and equipment: air tools, grinders, forklift, suction cup handler, hand tools
  • Verify counts with work order & review work quality/dimensional accuracy
  • Various other job-related tasks may be assigned
  • All other duties and projects as assigned by Production Coordinator

Skills, Abilities, and other Qualifications:

  • Must have previous experience in programing, welding and service Yaskawa robot and Fronius welding equipment. Programing test is required.
  • Must have hands on experience in a manufacturing industry
  • Ability to lift/carry up to 50/lbs
  • Experience working autonomously in a shop environment
  • Good communication skills
  • Forklift experience would be an advantage.
  • Good understanding of Occupational Health & Safety in a manufacturing environment

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
