Reporting to the Sr. Manager, Portfolio Management within the Nutrien Business Solutions (NBS) PMO, the Project Manager leads the end‑to‑end delivery of complex, high‑impact initiatives. You will partner across business, IT, HR, Finance and external vendors to deliver measurable outcomes, enable adoption, and ensure benefits are realized. Success is defined by predictable delivery, strong stakeholder alignment, and business value achieved.

What You'll Do:


Lead End-to-End Project Delivery


  • Deliver complex, cross-functional business and IT initiatives from initiation through benefits realization
  • Own scope, schedule, cost, quality, risk, and adoption outcomes
  • Ensure smooth transition to operations and sustained value delivery


Drive Planning, Financials & Control


  • Define scope, build delivery plans, and manage schedules, dependencies, and change control
  • Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
  • Oversee vendors and contractors, ensuring performance and delivery outcomes


Manage Risk, Quality & Governance


  • Proactively manage risks, issues, and dependencies (RAID)
  • Ensure quality through requirements validation, testing, and stage-gate readiness
  • Maintain compliance with governance, audit, and regulatory requirements


Lead Stakeholders & Enable Decisions


  • Build strong relationships across business, IT, and delivery partners
  • Facilitate governance forums and drive timely decision-making
  • Align delivery to strategic business priorities


Enable Change & Adoption


  • Partner with Change Management to deliver communications, training, and readiness plans
  • Ensure adoption of new capabilities and sustained business outcomes


Communicate & Report with Clarity


  • Provide clear, executive-ready reporting on status, risks, financials, and outcomes
  • Translate complex delivery topics into actionable insights


Strengthen Delivery Excellence


  • Apply PMO standards, tools, and best practices consistently
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and stronger delivery performance


What You'll Bring:


Experience


  • 8+ years delivering complex projects in corporate environments
  • Proven success leading large, cross-functional transformation initiatives (e.g., ERP, operating model, M&A)
  • Experience working in matrixed environments with senior stakeholders


Skills & Capabilities


  • Strong execution discipline with the ability to deliver predictably in complex environments
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
  • Strong financial and project controls acumen (budgeting, forecasting, variance management)
  • Advanced problem-solving and systems thinking capabilities

Education & Certifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related field
