Contributes to the overall success of the Transaction Services Canadian Banking Engineering team, ensuring specific individual goals, plans, initiatives are executed / delivered in support of the team’s business strategies and objectives. Ensures all activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies and procedures.

- Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be considered in day-to-day activities and decisions.

Do you have the skills that will enable you to succeed in this role? We'd love to work with you if you have:
- Full Stack developer with 10+ years of progressive experience working in the IT industry in software developer roles
- Experience in the following technologies: Assembler, Cobol, JCL, DB2, IMS DB, VSAM, SAS, Bitbucket
- Understanding of ISO8583 message format, Transaction Switching, Networks (Visa, Interac), and ATM
- Nice to have: Connex on IBM experience
- Participate in Pager Rotation off hours and Production Support (Incidents, Job Failures)
- Support our Production Environment by providing off hour pager support on a rotating schedule
- Maintain high standards of software quality within the team by establishing good practices and habits
- Collaborate with other software developers, business analysts and software architects to plan, design, develop, test, and maintain different applications
- Design, develop, and unit test applications in accordance with established standards
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills
- Time management skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments
- Flexibility and adaptability with an eagerness to enhance and improve
- Positive attitude with a strong commitment to Team
