Role: Automation Engineer(Playwright)

Primary Skills:
Automation Engineer with experience in Playwright responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts for web applications. Works closely with developers, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure high-quality software delivery. Creates robust end-to-end, regression, and API test automation frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript. Integrates automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and analyzes test results to identify defects and improve application quality. Ensures test coverage, performance, reliability, and adherence to QA best practices in Agile environments. Monitors and enhances automation frameworks to support continuous testing and faster release cycles
Key responsibilities include:
Design, develop, and maintain scalable test automation frameworks using Playwright with JavaScript/TypeScript.
Create and execute automated UI, End-to-End (E2E), Regression, Smoke, and Integration test suites for web applications.
Collaborate with Product Owners, Developers, Business Analysts, and QA teams to understand requirements and define test scenarios.
Develop reusable test scripts following automation best practices, coding standards, and design patterns.
Integrate automated test suites into CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or GitLab CI.
Perform cross-browser and cross-platform testing across Chrome, Edge, Firefox, and WebKit.
Automate API testing and validate backend services using Playwright APIs or tools such as Postman.
Analyze test results, troubleshoot failures, identify root causes, and work with development teams to resolve defects.
Manage test data, test environments, and reporting dashboards for automation execution.
Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Standups, Backlog Grooming, and Retrospectives.
Monitor test coverage and continuously improve automation effectiveness, execution time, and maintainability.
Create and maintain automation documentation, test plans, and execution reports.
Mentor junior QA engineers and promote automation best practices across teams.
Support quality engineering initiatives, shift-left testing, and continuous testing strategies.
Pay: $45.00-$50.00 per hour
Work Location: Remote
