Key Responsibilities
Web & CMS Development
- Design, customize, and implement user-focused CMS solutions including websites, portals, intranets, and web applications using Microsoft technologies and the .NET framework.
- Develop scalable, maintainable, and high-quality code using C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web Forms, and Sitecore or other .NET-based CMS platforms.
- Create custom CMS components, templates, layouts, plugins, and modules that support dynamic and engaging digital experiences.
- Build and integrate APIs, web services, and third-party systems to deliver seamless and unified user experiences across platforms.
Technical Architecture & Solution Delivery
- Collaborate with project managers, business analysts, UX specialists, designers, QA teams, and solution architects to deliver projects on time and within scope.
- Define technical specifications and contribute to the planning and execution of web and mobile solutions.
- Configure and maintain development environments across DEV, QA, and PROD environments within Microsoft Azure.
- Support development best practices through code reviews, documentation, testing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Cloud & Platform Optimization
- Work with Azure DevOps and continuous integration/deployment tools to streamline development workflows and deployment processes.
- Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, scripts, and integrations to support application performance and scalability.
- Monitor and maintain cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring solutions remain secure, cost-effective, and reliable.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to IIS, Windows Server environments, APIs, and CMS platforms.
Collaboration & Team Contribution
- Partner closely with senior developers and technical teams to solve complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions.
- Mentor and support junior developers through knowledge sharing, technical guidance, and collaborative problem-solving.
- Participate in client demos, technical walkthroughs, and training sessions to support successful project delivery and adoption.
- Contribute to a collaborative and engaging team culture by sharing ideas, brainstorming solutions, and supporting continuous learning initiatives.
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, candidates should demonstrate:
Education & Experience:
- Post-secondary education in Computer Science, Software Development, or a related field is preferred.
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in .NET web development using C# and Microsoft technologies.
- Experience working on end-to-end Sitecore and/or Umbraco implementation projects.
- Experience developing responsive and interactive websites or web applications.
- Candidates with 6+ years of experience and relevant certifications may be considered for more senior opportunities.
Technical Skills:
- Strong proficiency in C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web Forms, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript.
- Experience with Azure, Azure DevOps, SQL Server, LINQ, REST APIs, JSON, and web service integrations.
- Knowledge of object-oriented programming concepts, testing frameworks, and code analysis tools.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, source control systems, and Microsoft cloud technologies.
- Experience with additional CMS platforms such as Umbraco, Kentico, Sitefinity, or WordPress is considered an asset.
- Exposure to front-end frameworks such as React, Angular, Bootstrap, or jQuery is beneficial.
