Job Description- Business Development Representative (Industrial Products, OEM, Oil & Gas, Electricity)

Precise Pipe manufactures and distributes seamless and welded carbon steel pipe with an obsession for customer satisfaction, exceptional quality, rapid supply, and tailored solutions.

With over 60 years of expertise, we are a North American leader in steel pipe solutions, supported by our own mills, and a global inventory network. Our North American operations serve upstream and downstream oil and gas markets with OCTG, transmission, tailings, and facility line pipes, along with low-alloy pipes and pipe derivative products such as frac sleeves, perforating guns, and setting tools. Beyond energy, our non-oil and gas divisions focus on galvanized products and OEM parts.

Role Objective
Business Development Representative is to support growth in our industrial products division. This role is suited for someone with a foundation in technical or industrial sales who is ready to actively build pipeline, engage new clients, and develop long-term business relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prospect and generate new business through outbound sales efforts (visits, calls, emails, networking)
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline with consistent follow-ups.
  • Support the full sales cycle from initial contact to order execution, incoordination with internal teams.
  • Engage with clients to understand technical requirements, with support as needed.
  • Prepare and follow up on quotations, ensuring alignment with customer specifications.
  • Maintain regular communication with clients to build long-term relationships and repeat business.
  • Track sales activities and pipeline updates in CRM or internal systems to support business strategy.

Qualifications

  • 3–4 years of sales experience, preferably in steel pipe, industrial products, oil & gas, electricity or a related technical industry
  • Solid understanding of industrial products and specification-based selling, or strong ability to quickly learn technical product knowledge.
  • Demonstrated experience in outbound sales, including prospecting, follow-ups, and pipeline generation (not limited to inbound/order-taking roles)
  • Strong communication skills, both customer-facing and internal, with the ability to participate in technical discussions with support
  • Results-driven with a proactive approach to business development
  • Organized and disciplined in managing leads, follow-ups, and opportunities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; CRM experience is an asset

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: $55,000–$70,000 CAD, depending on experience
  • Performance Bonus / Commission: Available based on results
  • Fully benefit upon inception
  • Paid Vacation: Provided annually in line with company policy
