Full job description

At Cord3 Innovation Inc, we offer solutions to strongly protect files and emails by encrypting them at rest and controlling access to protected data assets. These solutions deliver consistent, policy-driven data-centric security (DCS) for Cloud and enterprise data that protects against access by unauthorized privileged administrators. Unlike other data security approaches, Cord3’s solutions work completely transparently to users and do not require any changes to existing applications.

Cord3 Innovation Inc. is seeking an experienced Systems Engineer to join our growing team!

Department: Delivery Team.

Reports To: Director of Delivery.

Workplace Type: Hybrid (in-office days are Tues-Thurs).

Location: Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. Our office is in North Kanata.

Employment Type: Full Time.

Salary Range: $100,000 to $135,000.

Compensation Transparency

Position Overview

This is a hands-on role for an experienced IT professional who enjoys designing, implementing, maintaining, and supporting modern enterprise technology solutions. You will be responsible for the operation, security, and continuous improvement of our Windows and Linux environments, enterprise applications, Microsoft 365, cloud platforms, virtualization infrastructure, networking, end-user computing systems, and Cord3’s Data-Centric Security (DCS) platform and supporting technologies.

Working closely with our engineering and project teams, you will build and maintain development, testing, demonstration, and customer simulation environments that support product development, technical investigations, customer demonstrations, and solution deployments. This includes deploying, configuring, and supporting Cord3 Data-Centric Security components, integrating them with customer identity providers, enterprise applications, cloud platforms, and networking infrastructure, and reproducing customer environments to validate solutions and troubleshoot complex technical issues.

  • Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and security, implementing backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, and cybersecurity best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure, cloud, virtualization, and enterprise application issues while continuously improving system reliability, performance, and security.

Infrastructure & Networking

  • Design, deploy, maintain, and continuously improve enterprise computing, storage, and networking infrastructure across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud environments.
  • Install, configure, maintain, troubleshoot, and refresh enterprise servers, storage systems, end-user devices, networking equipment, and associated infrastructure.
  • Plan and execute technology lifecycle initiatives, including hardware refreshes, infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations, office relocations, and technology modernization projects.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers for procurement, licensing, telecommunications, warranty support, Internet services, and technical escalations.

  • Manage user lifecycle activities, including onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, permissions management, software deployment, and asset management.
  • Deliver responsive, professional technical support while promoting continuous improvement of the end-user computing experience.

Engineering & Client Engagement

  • Collaborate with engineering and project teams to design, build, and maintain development, testing, staging, demonstration, and customer simulation environments.
  • Deploy, configure, integrate, and support enterprise and security platforms, including Cord3 Data-Centric Security (DCS) components, identity providers, collaboration platforms, reverse proxies, application delivery controllers (load balancers), virtualization platforms, cloud services, and enterprise applications.
  • Build and maintain realistic customer environments to support product validation, integration testing, troubleshooting, proof-of-concept activities, customer demonstrations, and solution deployments.
  • Assist engineering and project teams with customer implementations, infrastructure validation, upgrades, migrations, and technical investigations.
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, operating procedures, and solution architecture documentation.
  • Identify opportunities to automate deployments, monitoring, system administration, and operational processes.
