Position Purpose and Summary
The Enrolment Advisor, Graduate Programs is responsible for achieving assigned enrolment goals by actively recruiting, advising, and supporting prospective students across TWU’s graduate learner programs. The Advisor guides students through each stage of the admissions process, ensuring a professional, responsive, and mission-centered experience.
This role engages prospective students through multiple communication channels, including phone, email, text, video conferencing, and in-person events. The Enrolment Advisor provides tailored guidance on academic programs, admissions requirements, and financial aid while representing TWU with excellence and authenticity.
In addition to direct student recruitment, the Advisor collaborates closely with Program Directors, Marketing, and Enrolment Management colleagues to implement effective recruitment strategies, nurture partnerships, and contribute to institutional enrolment goals. Through relationship-building, strategic outreach, and attentive follow-up, the Enrolment Advisor plays a key role in expanding TWU’s reach and impact among graduate learners.
Key Areas of Accountability
Recruitment & Enrolment
- Achieve individual enrolment goals and stage movement benchmarks through consistent, timely communication with assigned graduate prospective students
- Manage recruitment territory or demographic segment by implementing strategic outreach, follow-up, and conversion activities
- Conduct phone, email, text, and video follow-ups to guide students through the application and enrolment process
Admissions Advising & Student Support
- Provide personalized admissions counselling to prospective students and families, ensuring a clear understanding of programs, processes, and deadlines Assist graduate applicants through the admissions funnel (inquiry applicant admitted
- enrolled)
- Liaise with Admissions Operations and Data Services teams to ensure smooth processing of applications and efficient communication of decisions
Campus & Community Engagement
- Support and participate in campus visit programs, open houses, preview days, and individual visits
- Represent TWU at recruitment events, school visits, fairs, and church/community gatherings (in-person and virtual)
- Adapt presentation content and style for diverse audiences
Relationship Development
- Establish, cultivate, and maintain relationships with schools, churches, and community organizations to strengthen TWU’s presence in assigned regions
- Serve as a key liaison between faculty, program chairs, Student Life, and assigned graduate students
Strategy, Innovation, & Team Collaboration
- Actively pursue new initiatives and strategies to enhance recruitment and conversion effectiveness
- Contribute ideas and feedback to the Admissions Manager and Enrolment Leadership Team
- Collaborate with Marketing, Student Life, and other departments to align messaging and ensure a consistent student experience.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain accurate records of all student interactions, communications, and outcomes in the CRM (Salesforce)
- Utilize data to track progress, assess territory performance, and inform recruitment strategy

Key External Stakeholders: Prospective students, churches, educational institutions, professional organizations, and community partners
Job Standards and Requirements
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Master’s degree preferred, ideally in education, leadership, business, or a related field
- Valid Class 5 driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle required
Experience:
- Minimum of one year of experience in post-secondary admissions, enrolment management, or student recruitment preferred
- Graduate or adult admissions experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships, meet goals, and manage follow-up communications required
- Demonstrated ability to learn new systems, processes, and information quickly
- Experience in planning and delivering presentations to large and small audiences preferred
- Experience in admissions, student recruitment, sales, customer service, or related relational roles preferred
- Experience using CRM systems or contact management tools preferred
- Demonstrated ability to travel regionally and occasionally work evenings or weekends during peak recruitment period
Knowledge and Skills:
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation)
- Ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with students, parents, and diverse stakeholders
- Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, CRM platforms, and virtual meeting tools (e.g., Zoom, Teams)
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, goal-driven environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to travel and adjust hours as required
- Motivated self-starter who works independently and collaboratively as part of a team
- Comprehensive understanding of the graduate admissions funnel, recruitment strategies, and student decision-making processes
- Familiarity with higher education systems, particularly faith-based or private institutions
- Strong understanding of the graduate learner markets, including student motivations and their decision cycles
- Knowledge of CRM systems (preferably Salesforce) and data management best practices
- Awareness of marketing principles and digital engagement strategies
- Understanding of TWU’s academic programs, community life, and mission as a Christian university
