About Us:

Etherington Designs is Toronto's premier millwork and furniture shop, known for crafting bespoke, high-quality pieces that grace both residential and commercial spaces. With a passion for woodworking and a commitment to excellence, we have established ourselves as leaders in the industry, creating timeless pieces that showcase craftsmanship at its finest.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Cabinetmaker to join our team of artisans. As a Skilled Cabinetmaker at Etherington Designs, you will play a pivotal role in the creation of custom cabinetry and furniture, contributing to the realization of our clients' design visions.

Responsibilities:

· Build and assemble custom cabinets, furniture, and millwork according to design specifications and project requirements.

· Select and work with a variety of high-quality woods, veneers, laminates, and other materials.

· Operate and maintain woodworking machinery, hand tools, and precision measuring instruments.

· Ensure the highest level of craftsmanship, attention to detail, and quality in all finished products.

· Collaborate with design and engineering teams to interpret blueprints, sketches, and plans.

· Problem-solve and adapt to changes in project scope or design.

· Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to safety protocols.

· Assist in training and mentoring junior cabinetmakers when required.

Requirements:

· Proven experience as a Cabinetmaker, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work.

· Proficiency in working with various wood species and materials.

· Knowledge of woodworking machinery and tools.

· Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings and plans.

· Excellent attention to detail and a passion for precision.

· Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to changing project requirements.

· Effective communication and teamwork skills.

· Commitment to workplace safety.

· Ontario G class license
