Job Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced Dump Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for safely operating dump trucks to transport materials and equipment to and from job sites, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to safety standards. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, commercial driving regulations, and the ability to help on site as needed. The position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment with a focus on safety, efficiency, and professionalism.

Duties

  • Operate dump trucks safely across various terrains and weather conditions to transport materials such as gravel, dirt, or debris.
  • Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure proper functioning and safety compliance.
  • Load and unload materials and equipment efficiently, coordinating with site supervisors and other team members.
  • Maintain accurate logs of deliveries, mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance records.
  • Basic understanding/ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, loaders and skid steers.
  • Follow all federal, provincial, and company safety regulations while on the job site.
  • Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors regarding schedules, delays, or issues encountered during operations.

Qualifications

  • Valid class 1 or class 3 with tag endorsement.
  • Minimum 3 years experience in commercial driving and heavy equipment moving.
  • Construction knowledge considered an asset
  • Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment and transportation.
  • Ability to operate heavy machinery with precision and care in various environmental conditions.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Physical ability to load/unload materials, lift heavy objects, and perform inspections regularly.

Pay: $30.00-$34.00 per hour
