Responsibilities
SUMMARY:
Working throughout the transit system at specifically assigned locations and times, the Compass Analysis Assistant observes and log information about customers entering or exiting the transit system.
The Compass Analysis Assistant records information and captures any relevant notes regarding the measurements using a mobile device and app provided by the organization. The information captured through these tools will provide TransLink with information to improve operational efficiency.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Uses the mobile device and tools to log information on customers entering and exiting the transit system in an accurate and complete manner.
2. Conducts the measurements and records the data using a mobile device.
a) Traveling to pre-assigned transit stations, bus exchanges or bus stops including travelling on assigned bus routes, based on a schedule provided by the Senior Advisor.
b) Using the mobile device to accurately capture, including but not limited to, the time and location of the measurement being taken, the mode of transit being observed, and the number of customers entering and exiting the transit system.
3. Provides the notes after each measurement about observations or measurements based on the guidance provided by the Senior Advisor.
Qualifications
EDUCATION
Requires partial high school (Grade 10), or equivalent. Requires capability in using mobile device apps. Dexterity and vision to record information accurately a must.
EXPERIENCE
Requires training on using the mobile device and tools to log information on customers entering and exiting the transit system in an accurate and complete manner.
Other Information
Recruitment Process: An applicant will be required to demonstrate their suitability for this position by meeting the minimum level of qualifications and experience in order to be invited into the selection process. A standard interview format will be used including general, scenario and behavioural descriptive interview questions.
Work Schedule
This is a casual position. The hours are not fixed and may vary depending on the assignment.

This position works predominately on-site.
Rate of Pay
Salary $3,768 - $4,521 per month (Actual salary offered will be commensurate with education, experience and internal parity).
