Full job description

We are looking for a driven and resourceful Talent Acquisition Partner who wants to take ownership, build strong recruitment experience, and grow with Cherubini.

You will manage recruitment from intake through onboarding, build talent pipelines, and work directly with leaders across the business. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who brings initiative, strong people skills, and the drive to develop into a trusted recruitment partner, with a focus on skilled trades.

Why Join Cherubini

At Cherubini, the people we hire directly influence our future success. This role provides the opportunity to take ownership of recruitment, build meaningful relationships across the organization and community, and help shape the workforce that will support continued growth for years to come.

We are a locally owned Atlantic Canadian steel fabricator with nearly 60 years of experience delivering bridges and complex structures across North America and around the world. From our roots as a small Dartmouth railing shop, we have grown and are continuously taking on challenging work, investing in our people, and creating opportunities for employees to build meaningful, long-term careers.

What You’ll Do

  • Own the recruitment process from intake through onboarding.
  • Manage multiple active searches simultaneously.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines for future hiring needs.
  • Source candidates through job boards, networking, referrals, and direct outreach.
  • Conduct interviews and candidate assessments.
  • Complete reference checks and present hiring recommendations.
  • Lead weekly recruitment review meetings and drive hiring decisions forward.
  • Build relationships with hiring managers and supervisors across the organization.
  • Attend career fairs, community events, industry events, and school presentations.
  • Promote Cherubini as an employer of choice.
  • Support onboarding activities and new hire integration.
  • Maintain accurate recruiting records, candidate notes, and activity tracking.
  • Assist with broader HR initiatives as workload permits.

What We're Looking For

  • 2-3+ years of recruitment, talent acquisition, human resource or related experience.
  • Experience within the full-cycle recruitment processes.
  • Strong interviewing and candidate assessment skills.
  • Exceptional organizational and time management abilities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and shifting demands.
  • Strong relationship-building and influencing skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to groups and representing the organization externally.
  • Experience recruiting for skilled trades, manufacturing, industrial, construction, or related environments is considered a strong asset.
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates and building talent pipelines.
  • Proficiency with recruiting tools, job boards, Microsoft Office, and Excel.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to work onsite in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Pay: $65,000.00-$80,000.00 per year

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Employee assistance program
  • Life insurance
  • Mileage reimbursement
  • On-site parking
  • Paid time off
