Full job description

Job Title: Commercial Lines Technical Insurance Service Advisor

Department: Commercial Lines Service

Reports To: Broker/Managing Director

Compensation Range: $42,000 to $48,000 per annum

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9:00 am to 5 pm (35 per week)

Work Location: Stoney Creek, Ontario, Canada (On-site)

Position Type: Permanent, Full-Time, On-Site

Primary Responsibilities
  • Complete Commercial Lines billing tasks and respond to billing-related inquiries.
  • Process client payments while maintaining accurate records
  • Process Certificates of Insurance (COIs) accurately and within established timelines
  • Process insurance transactions with accuracy, including cancellations, reinstatements, policy changes, and policy reissues.
  • Updating our Policy works program and maintaining the accuracy of information for potential remarket
  • Prepare abeyance and monitor insurance submissions, proposals, and endorsements with our carriers
  • Answer and direct incoming client inquiries and distribute new sales opportunities to the appropriate team members
  • Provide ongoing administrative support and collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional client service and support operational goals.
  • With direction from the team, quote new small business on SME company portals
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures, including health and safety requirements.
  • Perform other duties as assigned with professionalism, accuracy, and integrity.

Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Possesses proficiency in computers skills
  • Works well within a team and independently, taking initiative to assist team members where needed
  • Has excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong customer service skills
  • Interacts with patience, enthusiasm, dedication and professionalism
  • Pays close attention to detail and multitasks with a high level of organization and accuracy
  • Approaches learning and professional development with enthusiasm
  • Ability to work full-time Monday through Friday
Other requirements:
  • 1 to 3 year of experience in Insurance is preferred.
  • Valid RIBO license in good standing or willingness to obtain.
