Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Automotive Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience in automotive repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting. This role involves diagnosing issues, repairing vehicles, and performing routine inspections to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Candidates with dealership experience or expertise in heavy equipment operation are highly encouraged to apply. Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair a wide range of automotive issues using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic schematics
- Perform routine maintenance such as oil changes, brake repairs, tire rotations, and fluid replacements
- Utilize specialized equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and heavy machinery when necessary
- Conduct electrical system diagnostics and repairs, including wiring and sensor troubleshooting
- Operate industrial equipment safely and efficiently during repairs or maintenance tasks
- Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and technical diagrams to facilitate accurate repairs
- Maintain detailed service records for each vehicle or equipment serviced
- Ensure all repairs comply with safety standards and manufacturer specifications
- Provide excellent customer service by explaining repairs and maintenance procedures clearly to clients
Experience
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance
- Dealership experience is preferred but not required; relevant hands-on experience is essential
- Familiarity with heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or farm machinery is advantageous
- Knowledge of HVAC systems, welding techniques, electrical systems, and industrial equipment is a plus
- Experience working with power tools, hand tools, schematics, and assembly processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills
- Customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively
Qualifications:
Certified Mechanic (preferred but not mandator)
Pay: $19.00-$40.00 per hour
