Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and professional Hotel Front Desk Clerk to provide exceptional guest services at our hotel. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth check-in and check-out processes. This role requires excellent communication skills, a strong customer service orientation, and the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a fast-paced hospitality environment.

Duties

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and assist with check-in/check-out procedures
  • Manage reservations and room assignments using multi-line phone systems and front desk software
  • Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services to guests
  • Handle guest inquiries, requests, and complaints with professionalism and courtesy
  • Process payments accurately and maintain detailed guest records
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Maintain a clean and organized front desk area at all times
  • Uphold phone etiquette standards when communicating with guests and vendors
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as answering phones, scheduling, and data entry

Skills

  • Excellent customer service skills with a friendly demeanor
  • Strong communication skills, including proficiency in multilingual or bilingual abilities preferred
  • Experience with front desk operations in a hotel or hospitality setting is advantageous
  • Ability to operate multi-line phone systems efficiently
  • Knowledge of guest services procedures and hospitality standards
  • Professional appearance and demeanor suitable for a customer-facing role
  • Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and effectively
  • Familiarity with hotel management software is a plus
